Welcome to Folkestone Academy!

We would like to welcome you to the Folkestone Academy and the wider Turner Schools family. At Folkestone Academy we are committed to providing all our pupils with the very best education from Year 7 through to our Post-16 Sixth Form.  This commitment includes Folkestone Academy providing all pupils joining us in September 2025 with a Chromebook so they all have the opportunity to access the digital age of learning.  You can find out more about this initiative in the essential information tab.  

We appreciate this is a time of change for you and over the coming months we will be working closely with colleagues and our feeder primary schools to ensure transition is as effective as possible. Folkestone Academy recognises a successful transition is vital in supporting all children in settling into secondary school and we aim to ensure from you feel welcome and supported by us. 

In anticipation of all the questions you may have, we have created this website just for you: Year 6 pupils, parents and carers. These pages are designed to share with you important information, introduce you to some of our staff and pupils and share with you some of the opportunities available to find your talent at Folkestone Academy.
